Pastor Angelo M Beard was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. His parents are the late Charles Beard and Willie Cornelia Beard Sr. Pastor Beard graduated from Halter High School in the Wellston Schools District and went to Mississippi Valley State University (where he met his wife) on a band scholarship. During his college days he joined a group Youth for Christ. In this group they preached the Gospel on the campus. Pastor Beard served as an Evangelist on the field for over 20 plus years holding such positions as District Evangelist President for the Greater St. Mark District under the leadership of Supt. T. Tucker, Speed Street District under the leadership of Supt. Samuel Maxwell and Supt. Ulysses McKinney in the Tennessee 5th Jurisdiction where Bishop Jerry W Taylor. is the Jurisdictional Prelate. Also served faithfully with the State Jurisdiction department as well before being called to Pastoral duties. Pastor Beard worked at Target for more than 24 Years as a Dock Supervisor and helped open Target stores in the Memphis area as well as cities and states all over the United States. Pastor Beard strives to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ without compromising what thus said the Lord. Pastor Beard makes sure that Moore’s Memorial donates funds on a monthly basis to God’s chosen people the Jews (Jewish Voice) as well as the International Fellowship of Christian and Jews. Pastor Beard has many accomplishments but most of all he loves the Word of God. He is currently the Pastor of Moore’s Memorial COGIC. He has been married to 1st Lady Glendora Beard for nearly 4 decades. They have three daughters Angela, LaTonya, and April.
First Lady Glendora Beard was born and raised in Como, Mississippi. Her parents are the late Frank Ward and Alsie Ward Sr. Glendora graduated from North Panola High School in Panola County School District. She went to college at Mississippi Valley State University where she obtained a Bachelors degree in Social Work. She has worked for the Department of Human Services for more than 30 years, 7 years in the State of Mississippi, and 27 years with the State of Tennessee. She retired on July 31, 2015. She too was a member of Youth for Christ during her college tenure. She preached and sang for Jesus with a heart for soul winning. She was effectively known as the "Mother" of the group. She currently serves as 1st Lady of the Moore’s Memorial church alongside her husband. She is over the Women’s Department. She was appointed as District Missionary of the Samuel Maxwell District in June 2013. Not only does First Lady Beard worked hard to help others in her professional life, but in her personal life as well. She started a food drive where people in the community can come and eat Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner for free. She also established the clothing giveaways and Toy Drives during Christmas for children. This Woman of God preaches and teaches the Word of God with power and love. Both Pastor and 1st Lady Beard just want to do the work of the Lord and hear him say “Well done thy good and faithful servants”
